B.Com. (H) is a three year full time programme offered by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi to develop skills in Commerce & Industry.
This programme caters to commerce aspirants who desire to develop their professional competence with specialized knowledge in the field of Business & Commerce.
Objective
The objective of the course is to equip the students with domain knowledge of commerce and accounting principles applied to contemporary business practices
through financial planning, decision-making and control in organizations.
Classroom Teaching
- Exposure beyond books: Special emphasis is laid on the practical training of students by organizing industrial visits, seminars, and guest
lectures by corporate bigwigs.
- Grooming Personal Skills: Special personality grooming exercises such as extempore, debates, group discussions, role playing exercises
are introduced to students, which are pre-requisite to put up the best performance.
- Personal mentoring by Gurus: The distinguish faculty members provided individual attention to the students to identify their weak areas
and guide them to overcome them.
Summer Training Project & Final Year Major Project Report
Each student shall undergo practical training of six weeks during the vacations after fourth semester in an approved business / industrial / service organization
and submit at least two copies of the Summer Training Report to the Director / Principal of the Institution within two weeks of the commencement of the
Fifth Semester. During the sixth semester each student shall undertake a project to be pursued by him / her under the supervision of an Internal Supervisor
to be appointed by the Director / Principal.
